Don’t expect a leading salary for any job requiring skills, teaching or otherwise. It does sound all bad, but actually if you want to live in Thailand for a few years, such low salaries aren’t a worry because the cost of living is very low in Thailand, the infrastructure is arguably the best in South East Asia, it’s a friendly and safe country, and there’s still every prospect to advance your career and acquire some decent work experience.
